Toshiba DR560 1080p Upconverting DVD Recorder with Built-in Tuner It took me 10 minutes to set this unit up and have it running-- without looking at the manual Excellent and Intuitive Unit And I'm no techie DVD Recorder I then used the easy-to-read manual to fine tune the settings Rating 5 Picture quality is not quite as good as my Samsung-- but close enough! 2009-03-28 I have now purchased two of these within the past two to three months Nice item I am a woman and also a senior DVD Recorder I hooked this up myself and also figured it out Rating 4 I think the price should be a little cheaper and think there is always room for improvement but all in all this is a great product 2009-03-27 This is a very good DVR very good.... However gave it only 4 stars for the following reasons: 1) The remote is terrible, dim the lights and you can't see what the buttons are DVD Recorder Fortunately my Vizio TV remote was able to operate it using a Toshiba VCR Universal code (See Vizio manual) Rating 4 Toshiba take note!, fix the remote (listen to the Voice of the Customer) 2009-03-27 2) The manual is a little vague, I can see why people might have problems setting up the DVR, especially if you are not used to a Windows menu type system Nice product with great features but mine is acting strangely Nice but has problems I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if the unit has a problem but when I try to instill the name of the movie, which is a difficult task, it freezes DVD Recorder I cannot use either the remote or the unit itself to do anything, including turn the unit off Rating 4 I have to pull the plug 2009-03-27 I've also noticed it stopping or skipping on one or two of the movies I recorded It's been a little over a month since I purchased this model A month after purchase...
